What We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe that all “scripture is given by inspiration of God;”  therefore, the entire Bible is indeed inspired, because Holy men of God “were moved by the Holy Spirit” of God to write the words of Scripture. All of its parts—the historical,  poetical, doctrinal and prophetical truths—are all inspired. We believe the whole Bible, that the Old and New Testaments are the Words of God without error, and that both Testaments points to Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:27,44; John 5:39; Acts 18:28; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21).

The  Godhead

We believe in the Trinity; that the Triune Godhead eternally exists in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God with precisely the very same nature, attributes and perfection (Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 12:29; John 1:1,14; Acts 5:3-4; II Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:1-3).

Angels—Fallen and Non-fallen

We believe that God created an innumerable company of sinless, spiritual beings known as “angels.” We further believe that one, Lucifer, “son of the morning,” the highest in rank, sinned through pride, thereby becoming Satan; and that a great company of the angels followed him in his moral fall.(Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel  28:11-19;
I Peter 2:4; Jude 6).

Man—Created and Fallen

We believe that man was initially created in the image and after the likeness of God. We further believe that he fell into sin and as a result of his sin, he lost his spiritual life,
becoming dead in trespasses and sins, and that he became subject to the power of Satan (Genesis 1:26; Psalm 14:1-3; Romans 3:10-19,23).

Salvation Only Through Jesus Christ

We believe that because of the universal death through sin, that no one can enter the
Kingdom of God unless he or she is born again. The new birth of the believer comes only through faith in Christ Jesus (John 3:16; 5:24; 14:6; Romans 3:21-26; 10:9-11).

The Church

We believe that the Church is a Body of Baptized, born-again believers in Christ, and that in
the mind of God, the church originated before the foundation of the world (I Corinthians 12:13; Matthew 16:16-18; Ephesians 1:3-5).

The Great Commission

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ gave the Great Commission to the Church to go into all the world and share the Good News about His virgin birth, His life, death, resurrection and eternal reign (Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 16:15; John 17:18; Acts 1:8; II  Corinthians 5:18-20).

Christian Service

We believe that spiritual gifts are bestowed by the Holy Spirit upon all who are saved. Each believer has  at least one gift. With the gift(s), the believer can serve God in the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:6-8; Ephesians 4:11,12; I Corinthians 12:4-11).

The Christian Walk

We believe that Christians are called with a Holy Calling to walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit, and to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:22-24;
Galatians 5:16-23; Romans 6:11-13).

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that the period of the Great  Tribulation on the earth will be climaxed by the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to this earth as He went—in person on the clouds of Heaven, and with great power and great glory (Matthew 24:15-25, 46; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 1:7).

The Eternal State

We believe that the Saved will have everlasting life with Christ, and that the unsaved will spend eternity in Hell, far from the presence of the Lord (Revelation 20:11-15; John 3:16-18).

Eternal  Security

We believe that because of the eternal purpose of God toward the objects of His love and His freedom to exercise loving Grace toward the sinner on the grounds of the propitiatory blood of Jesus Christ, and because of regenerating, abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in the Believer, that once saved one shall be kept saved forever (John 5:24; 10:28; 14:16-17; Jude 24).
