Tuition and Fees

Tuition and Registration

The fee for each academic degree credit/unit  is $50.00; credits/units for the diploma program is $35.00. Unless otherwise noted, each course taken represents three (3) academic credits/units. There are special fees for married couples and senior citizens 65 years or older. If a student’s  spouse attends during the same quarter, VBC will give them a 25% discount for tuition. Senior citizens will receive a 50% discount
for tuition.

There is a one-time, non-refundable  registration fee of $25.00. This fee must be paid at the time of registration. Students will be invoiced for all fees not received at the time of registration.

For all returned checks, VBC charges a $25.00 processing fee. The student will be given 15 days to clear the returned check after notice has been  received from VBC’s Administrative Office.

There are financial plans for students who incur financial  hardships while attending classes. Students must contact VBC’s Administrative Offices to see if they qualify for one of these plans so that their studies are not interrupted.

Tuition Refund Policy

VBC has established a refund policy for the original tuition paid. For students who register and later decide they are unable to continue their studies at VBC the refund policy will be based on class sessions and attendance.

Graduation Fees

The prescribed course of study as outlined in this catalog must be satisfactorily completed prior to students being eligible for graduation. All graduating students are expected to be present for rehearsal and pay a first-time graduation fee of $75. This fee cover the charge of the cap, gown, tassel,  degree holder and 10 invitations. There will be a minimal charge for additional invitations.

For previous graduates of VBC who already possess the school’s cap and gown, there is a $50 graduation fee. These students will also receive 10 invitations, and pay a minimal charge for additional invitations.

We are happy to have available class rings for our students. Rings are available for Bachelor students only. Once a student in the Bachelor Program earns 99 credit-hours, the student is eligible to order their class ring. There are several styles available. VBC ringo rder forms must be completed prior to ordering.

For more information about class rings or to see the ring samples, contact VBC’s Administrative Office.

Textbooks

Final approval of all instructional materials will be that of the administrative Office of VBC. All textbooks are purchased and maintained also by the Administrative Office. Ordering of textbooks is based on projected  and actual enrollment each quarter. Unless the student is given explicit approval from the Administrative Office of VBC, students are not allowed to substitute textbooks required for other publications of like manner.

Cost of textbooks is not part of the admission and registration fees. Textbooks may be purchased with cash, a check or money order. If payment
is made by check or money order, they should be made payable to Vallejo  Bible College. Receipts are provided for all financial transactions upon request.

All textbooks must be purchased no later than the second session of class. Students who are unable to purchase textbooks should contact VBC’s
Administrative Office before the second session of class.

Student Progress Records

VBC’s instructors maintain grades for each student which are based on test scores, class assignments, participation and attendance. Grades are provided to the VBC Administrative Office every 12 weeks for recording in student’s file and producing Grade Reports.

Student Work Products

To measure the achievement level of students, instructors will require essays, written projects, oral presentations, or other means of measuring
achievement levels. All tools of achievement will be designed or written by the instructor and will be outlined in each class syllabus. The tools are designed and written by the instructor and approved for use by VBC’s Administrative Office.

Awards of Grades

The award of grades or credits will be based on the evaluation and review by the class instructor. All instructors of VBC will award grades based on the following basic criteria:
• Class Attendance
• Test Scores
• Class Assignments
• Essays
• Oral Presentations
